What type of cell in the human body goes through mitosis

    Only eukaryotic organisms, or those whose cells contain nuclei, undergo mitosis. Our body cells are somatic cells (skin, cheek, stomach cells). These cells must go through mitosis to maintain daily functions of the cells like growth and repairing damaged tissue.
