In the following experiment, what is the independent variable? Dr. Honeydew would like to test the effect of chlorine on Beaker's hair color. To test this he pours heavily chlorinated pool water on the right side of Beakers head. To the left side of Beakers head he pours pure water. After doing this for several days, only the hair on the right side turns green.
