Electron microscopes have much higher magnification than compound light microscopes.

    This is true.

    An electron microscope is a microscope that uses a beam of electrons instead of light to magnify objects up to 500,000 times actual size. Whereas a compound light microscope only magnifies from 40x up to 1,000x.
