    An ecological disturbance is an event which is caused by an agent which can be of biological or non-biological in origin. The agent is capable of bringing negative changes to an ecosystem. A fire is an example of ecological disturbance. In the given situation, forest burns down the trees is the example of direct interaction of fire with the trees therefore it is primary disturbance. But this interaction led to the loss of habitat of animals which were forced to move to other areas as the fire burned the trees. This is called as secondary disturbance.
