Coquí tree frogs are harming the native bird populations by decreasing the birds' food supply. I have a few questions about the methods of population control:

Does freezing the imported plants harm them? Does caffeine have a harmful effect on the birds, other animals, or native plants in the region? If so, what could be done to reduce the risk to these populations? What are the frogs' other mating habits? Is there a way to decrease the chances of successful reproduction in these frogs?
