    Answer: The presence of farm will decrease the oxygen concentration in the ponds.

    Explanation:

    The farmers will use fertilizers and pesticides in farms to reduce the growth of insects and pests and to enhance the overall quality of crops.

    The fertilizers contains nitrogen and phosphorous in the farm which will go in the nearby ponds. The phosphorous in water increases the growth of algae in water.

    The algae will use the dissolved oxygen in water and hence, the oxygen concentration of ponds will decrease.

    Some bacteria grow in oxygen-free environments and are called "anaerobic" or "anaerobes." An example of a common anaerobic foodborne bacteria is the Clostridium species, such as Clostridium botulinum and Clostridium perfringens. Some bacteria are facultative which means that they can grow in either the presence or absence of oxygen. Most foodborne pathogens are facultative with the exception of the above-mentioned Clostridium. Some are microaerophilic, meaning they grow in low concentrations of oxygen.
