Hurricanes form when warm, moist air from the ocean surface quickly rises into the atmosphere and forms storm clouds and rain. When the clouds are formed, heat is released which warms the cool air in the upper regions of the atmosphere so that the cycle can continue. Which two phases of the water cycle are repeated in this process?

    Evaporation and Condensation

    Explanation:

Evaporation occurs when liquid water changes into water vapor (gaseous water or steam). Condensation occurs when water vapor changes back into a liquid (when clouds are formed). Hurricane formation, therefore, depends on the repetition of the processes of evaporation and condensation.

The answer is; Evaporation and condensation

When water turns from a liquid phase in the oceans to gas (water vapor) in the atmosphere, this is called evaporation. When the water vapor (gas) cools in the cooler upper atmosphere to water droplets (that form clouds), this is called condensation. Evaporation is an endothermic process while condensation is an exothermic process.
