Hummingbirds and moths both have long tongues specialized for drinking nectar from tube shaped flowers, but hummingbirds are active in the daytime, while moths generally come out only at night. Do they compete? Explain.

    Answer: No they don't.

    Explanation: they both need nectar and some flowers only bloom for a short period of time. Nevertheless, some flowers are time specific when blooming choosing between day and night.

    Also moths and hummingbirds have specific flowers they drink from and they sometimes prefer separate plant.
