    The reproductive system

    Explanation:

The reproductive system consists of organs, tissues, cells that combine to ensure an organism create other organism.

The reproductive system of an organism can be in either category:

    1. Sexual reproduction

    2. Asexual reproduction

Sexual reproduction simply results from the fusion of gametes and/or reproductive cells of the male with the female. It basically changes the number of chromosomes in the organism as the reflection of the fusion occasioned this. Example is the production found in mollusc, such as snails.

Asexual reproduction, on the other hand, does not involve fusion of gamete cells between organisms. Thus, we do not have the issue of chromosomal changes. As asexual reproduction often comes from a single cell, offspring from here are often identical. Example is the reproduction found in Amoeba.
