At the end of meiosis 1, double number of chromosomes are present in each cell.

    Explanation:

Meiosis is a type of cell division in which a single parent cell is divided into four daughter cells. In meiosis 1, a single cell is divided into two daughter cells having double number of chromosomes. After that meiosis 2 occurs in which these two daughter cells again divided into four daughter cells having half number of chromosome. This type of cell division only occurs in the sex cells.
