meiosis does not always occur without any difficulties. Discribe what occurs during nondisjunction and the effect on the resulting cells?

    Nondisjunction causes an odd number of chromosomes in gametes, The result is an abnormal number of chromosomes. This happens in anaphase I or II. If you have an odd number of chromosomes, they can not line during metaphase and be dragged apart. This makes a person infertile.
