Water molecules infiltrate in the soil through small pores made by soil fauna. If soil has high porosity, the water infiltrate quickly into the soil or if the soil has low porosity, so the movement of water is difficult in the soil.

    Explanation:

Porosity refers to the comparison of total volume of rock in total volume of soil. If there more empty space in the soil we can say that the soil has high porosity.
