Virus is considered as both living and non living. Justify?

    Simple my friend. Its not living because it requires a host cell to reproduce. It also requires a host cell to remain "active" It is also not alive because it does not require energy to survive. It is not really considered "alive" to most scientists, but some would argue that it is because it contains it's own dna.
