Aerobic respiration is a chemical process inside cells which uses oxygen for the production of energy in the form of ATP. The waste products are carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O). Aerobic reaction takes place within the mitochondria (inner membrane) and it consists of few steps: link reaction, citric acid cycle (or Krebs cycle) and the electron transport chain.
