The reflex arc transmitted the message that Karin should remove her finger from the hot pan. The path that is taken by the nerve impulses of any reflex is known as the reflex arc. Most of the sensory neurons synapse in the spinal cord so that the reflexes can occur quickly. The spinal motor neurons are activated and thus the reflex time is decreased as the signals are not routed to the brain. The sensory information reaches the brain when the reflex is occurring.
