Describe why some children look more like their mothers while others look more like their fathers

Genes that are passed are completely random and by luck so the genes of the mother or father could be passed more than the other. Another factor is that the genes the mother or father had could be the dominant allele so the baby may look like the mother or father over the other bsince the dominant allele would show over the recessive allele.
