    Hot, humid temperatures than today.

    Explanation:

The Carboniferous period is was a geologic period that spans about 60 mn years ago and is named for the coal-bearing period. In the beginning, the climate was warm and hot had temperature about 20 degrees, but in the middle cooling occurred and the temperature was about 12 degrees. The cooling and drying of the climate lead to the Carboniferous rainforest. The planet was much hotter and more humid than we see it today and had more carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases in the atmosphere than exists today.
