Describe the composition and arrangement of lipids and proteins in the plasma membrane.

    Answer:Plasma membrane is outermost layer in animals while, in plants it is covered by cell wall. It is composed mainly of lipids (phospholipids and sterols) and proteins.

    Arrangement:

    Phospholipid form two layers called lipid bilayer. Head which are hydrophilic are well arranged and tails are hydrophobic. Proteins are embedded in between these layers.
