Explain how rheumatoid arthritis causes the symptoms shown in the models. Would the same symptoms occur if the immune system were functioning properly?

    Answer: No the symptoms would have not been the same if the immune system would have worked properly.

    Explanation:

    Rheumatoid arthritis is caused when the immune system of the body produces the antibodies against the cells that lines the joints.

    Due to this reason, the joints of the body develops pain, swelling, inflammation in it.

    If there would have been properly functioning immune system in the body then this problem would not persist.

    But if not treated on time can cause permanent damage of the joints.
