In rabbits, white fur is recessive while brown fur is dominant. Explain how a rabbit could be born and have white fur (only recessive) even though both parents have brown fur? Hint: Both parents are heterozygous. In your explanation, describe 1) how dominant and recessive alleles affect each other, 2) what it means to be heterozygous, and 3) how this leads to the offspring with white fur (recessive only).
