If the hypothesis has another experimental evidence for the support of the hypothesis, I will respond that the temperature difference is due to human error or measurement error.

Explanation; In an experiment, the results of one experiment cannot decide the hypothesis incredibility. The hypothesis is judged by a series of experiments because the results of one experiment can be influenced by human error or instrumental error. Hence if the student has doubts about the hypothesis on the basis of the single burning experiment, then I will ask her to do 2 more times the experiment and recommends another type of tests also.
