Since models are simpler than real objects or systems, they have limitations. A model deals with only a portion of a system. The carbon cycle model seen here has limitations and does nor include all pertinent aspects of carbon cycling. What is absent from this model of the carbon cycle? A) It does not show the critical role the oceans play in the storage of carbon. B) It does not show the movement of carbon from one sphere to another in the Earth system. C) It does not show the increasing human population and their activities have a tremendous impact on the carbon cycle.
