Describe what happens during the four stages of mitosis

During mitosis, when the nuclear divides, the 2 chromatids that make up each chromosome separate from each other and move to opposite poles of the cell. Mitosis actually occurs in 4 phases. The phases are called prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase.
