Plants have incomplete proteins as they lack one or more of the essential amino acids. Vegetarians eat dairy, eggs, and honey, but do NOT eat meat. Vegans are the ones who do not eat animal products such as dairy, eggs, and honey and only eat food derived from plants. But, eating numerous amounts of vegetables and fruits can complete the amino acids missing from just one type of fruit or vegetable.

By eating a variety of foods including fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts and seeds, soy products, and whole grains, vegetarians can get adequate nutrients from non-meat
