    E) option is correct

    Explanation:

Three common complications from long-term diabetes are:

    Retinopathy:

It is a diabetes complication that affects eyes which is caused by damage to the blood vessels of the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye (retina)

At first, diabetic retinopathy may cause no symptoms or only mild vision problems but eventually it can cause blindness

The longer one has diabetes and the less controlled blood sugar is, the more likely one is to develop this eye complication

    Peripheral neuropathy:

Peripheral neuropathy is a result of damage to the nerves outside of the brain and spinal cord (peripheral nerves), often causes weakness, numbness and pain, usually in hands and feet and can also affect other areas of the body

The peripheral nervous system sends information from brain and spinal cord (central nervous system) to the rest of the body and also sends sensory information to the central nervous system

People with peripheral neuropathy generally describe the pain as stabbing, burning or tingling

    Heart disease:

The most common cause of heart disease in a person with diabetes is hardening of the coronary arteries or atherosclerosis, which is a buildup of cholesterol in the blood vessels that supply oxygen and nutrition to the heart

Not only are people with diabetes at higher risk for heart disease, they're also at higher risk for heart failure, a serious medical condition in which the heart is unable to pump blood adequately
