Once elongation is underway, tRNAs involved in the process occupy a series of sites on the complexed ribosome. The occupation of sites occurs in the following order.

    Explanation:

    The first step in the elongation process is the position of the second tRNA in the A site (because the first tRNA is the start codon that is in the P site during the initiation of translation) then an amino acid that is in the P site is transferred to the amino acid that is in the A site, after this the translocation happens, where the RNAm moves in 5' direction moving the tRNA that was in the A site to the P site and the tRNA that was in the P site to the E site, in the E site the tRNA is released.
