A new drug inactivates the helicase enzyme by binding to its active site. How will this drug most likely affect the process of dna replication?

    If the DNA helicase is inactivated, DNA replication will not occur. This is because DNA helicase is involved in separating DNA strands binding to the DNA at the replication fork. In the case of its inactivity binding to DNA will be prevented and separation of the DNA helix will not occur.
