    The PH scale was prepared in a logarithmic manner in that increase or decrease of an integer value alters the concentration by a tenfold.

    Examples;

    • PH of 3 and PH of 4 will mean that PH of 3 is times 10 more acidic than PH of 4

    • PH of 3 and PH of 5 will mean that PH of 3 is time 100 more acidic than PH of 5

    Hence PH of 1 is (4-1=3⇒10*10*10 = 1000) more acaidic than PH of 4
