    Lipids is a compound that consist of fat and oil, steroid. It is found in both eukaryotes and prokaryotes organism.

    They are useful in membrane formation as they are constituent of cell membranes and cell wall.

    Lipids aids cell division in plant during cytokinesis in Telophase.

    Lipids are great source of energy it has twice the energy of

    carbohydrate.

    They serve as protection for specialize tissue in the cell.
