What is your opinion of the balance of nature hypothesis? Would deer on the island be better off, worse off, or about the same without the wolves? Defend your position

    I think they would be worse of without wolves because wolves act as a natural selective pressure which favors the survival of the strongest deers. The second thing is that without a natural predator, the deer would probably reproduce in vast numbers which would reduce the amount of resources available for all deer on an island. It would eventually lead to their decay.
