Would a woman who has gone through menopause still experience menstruation (a period) ? Explain, in the context of reproductive hormones, why or why not.

Bleeding after menopause is usually a sign of a minor health problem but can sometimes be an early sign of more serious disease.

    This happens because the ovaries stop making the hormones estrogen and progesterone. The ovaries also stop releasing eggs (ova, oocytes). Therefore a women could not longer experience a period or menstruate.
