    Answer;

    A. it sinks

    Explanation; Surface tension is the force that makes water to behave like a stretched skin. It is a result of cohesion forces between water molecules. Surface tension force causes objects to float on water. For instance small objects floats on the surface of water, as long as the object can not break through and separate the water molecules on the top layer. When an objects or items break through and separates the top layer of water molecules on the surface of the water, then they will sink. Surface tension may also be broken by factors such as impurities such as soaps and detergents which weakens the hydrogen bonds holding the water molecules together.
