What would happen if you placed a tube with 40% sucrose solution into a beaker of 80% sucrose solution. Would the tube gain or lose weight?

    If the sucrose concentration is higher inside, the water will move into the tube, and the tube gets "stiffer; " if it's greater outside, the water will out of the tube, and it will get smaller. If the concentration is the same inside and outside, it will gain weight
