If a cell normally has 12 chromosomes how many chromosomes will be present if ach cell at the end of meiosis 2 if a single pair of homologous chromosomes fail to separate at anaphase 1

    Answer: D. Two daughter cells will each have five chromosomes and two daughter cells will each have seven chromosomes.

    If a single pair of homologous chromosomes fail to separate at anaphase 1, then that pair will end in one of the cell. At the end of the cycle there will be 1 cell with 5 chromosomes and one cell with 7 chromosomes.

    Those cell will be divided again, resulting two of similar cells with haploid chromosome
