What makes a good hypothesis?

    A good hypothesis does not need to be in a certain structure. Many people believe that a hypothesis needs to have, "I believe ... " or "If ... then ... because ... ". However, a good hypothesis should:

    1. Be based off of evidence or research. Not just a plain old guess or prediction. Hypotheses are made after deep research.

    2. Explains why the process may occur and must be based off of research.

    3. Should explain why other claims may be incorrect.

    4. Should give examples.

    5. Structure is important so that other scientists can understand. This is where the "If ... then ... because ... " kicks in.
