    The nucleic acids are composed of basic unit called nucleotides. The nucleotides consist of 3 molecules. The three molecules are nitrogen base, phosphate group and ribose sugar. The ribose sugar is composed of 5 carbon.

    The nucleic acids are DNA and RNA. The nitrogenous bases are adenine, guanine, thymine and cytosine. The nitogenous base, uracil is present in RNA instead of thymine.
