    Answer: In tundra, the winter is the dominating season.

    Explanation:

    In the changing season the soil starts to permafrost the organic matter in the soil remains stored inside the permafrost layer of ice. This prevents the dead and decaying matter which is high in concentration of carbon dioxide remain unexposed to the external environment. Thus the levels of carbon dioxide in the tundra environment remains in low concentration.
