    Plants and plant like organisms have the ability to converts solar energy into chemical energy i. e. glucose and store them in its body parts. This energy is transferred when these plants are eaten by herbivores. After that, these herbivores are eaten by carnivores and so on. If plants are removed from the ecosystem, all the organisms will die because all organisms depends upon plants directly or indirectly.
