Sex is the process in which organisms reproduce. There are two types of reproductive organisms, asexual and sexual reproduction. Sexual reproduction involves two organisms which results in the formation of a varied organism. Asexual reproduction results in an identical copy of said organism, for this, only one organism is required, there is no genetic variations unlike sexual reproduction where many variations are introduced.
