What are hydrophytes, mesophytes and xerophytes.

    hydrophytes Any plant adapted to grow wholly or partly submerged in water or wet habitats

    mesophyte Any plant adapted to grow in soil that is well supplied with water and mineral salts

    xerophyte is a species of plant that has adaptations to survive in an environment with little liquid water

    the types of plants which grows on terristial land are called mesophytes. eg apples, mango, peas, etc

    the types of plants which adopted to desert is called xerophytes. eg, alovera, cactus, etc
