In geological history, every drastic change in the environment introduced a new age and the process of the change in the environment was spread over the millions of years. This has greatly shaped the life on Earth. Initially, geological changes (along with the environmental conditions) were defining which forms of lif would survive and proliferate. For example, according to the theory of continental drift, new species were evolved because organisms were separated because of formation of new continents which got aparted. In this period, the impact of life on Earth itself was very limited rather geological changes were the primary cause of different forms of life. Another example is the disapperance of Dinosaur during K/T boundary event. A most likely event of meteorite impact results in the elimination of many forms of life and then new species evolved later on.

However, after the human settlement and due to his activities, the drastic change in the environment occurred in very short time. Man can impact the global environment. It is an established reality and many of the natural science scientists revealed that this is a human age in the earth history, and they have named it as 'Anthropocene'. The impact of the human is mostly localized but very significant in term of concentration or the nature of pollution. For example, humans have produced plastic at a massive scale which is not degradable even in ages. In the biostratigraphical context, the anthropocene is filled with plastic all over the world. Or we can say that there is a completel geological layer where the plastic pollution can be seen around the world. Another example is the burning fossil fuels which is increasing the carbon dioxide amount in the atmosphere. This is leading to climate crisis, generally known as global warming. If it occurs soon, the left overs will be preserved in the geological formations. And humans have triggered the phenomenon fast which is brining climate crisis at much faster rate than what is expected by the natural processes.
