    Similarity

    1. both depend on inheritance and environment.

    2. both include expressed genes.

    3. both can be beneficial, harmful, or neutral.

    Difference

    1. genotype can be inherited while phenotype can not.

    2. genotype includes expressed genes and non-expressed genes while phenotype includes expressed genes only.

    3. genotype determined by genotyping while phenotype is determined by observing the organism (looking at the organism).
