A group of paleobiologists were studying sedimentary rocks in the rocky mountains of north america. what order of organisms would they find in the layers of these sedimentary rocks? oldest organisms are at the bottom and the newest organism is in the top-most layer of the sedimentary rocks.

    Oldest organisms are at the bottom and the newest organism is in the top-most layer of the sedimentary rocks.

    I live in Los Angeles. Earthquakes turn everything over here, and have probably been doing that for millions of years. So fossils here in Los Angeles would more likely be a jumble. Keep that in mind when you're looking at fossil beds.
