Suppose that the local temperature changes in favor of greater oxygen levels in the water. Write a short paragraph to describe how both the population of the small fish species and the wading bird population would change in response to the new oxygen levels over the next six months. Then explain why these changes occur

    The greater the oxygen levels in the water, the high the local temperature can go. If the local temperature continues to rise during the six months, the small fish species will decline since they cannot survive in hotter environments. Consequently, the population of the wading birds will also decline since they rely on the small fishes for their food.
