What is the difference between monosaccharides and disaccharides?

    The body requires less effort to break down monosaccharides, resulting in easier digestion and more energy for the body than disaccharides.

    Glucose, Fructose and Galactose are all monosaccharides. Their functinalities aredifferent and they are structurally different from each other too, but the have the same molecular formula - C6H12O6. Therefore, they are Isomers of each other. Disaccharides are two molecules of sugar.
