Taller trees have a canopy arrangement of leaves where the upper leaves tend to be smaller than the ones below them. How does this arrangement of leaves benefit the plant?

    This arrangement of leaves benefit the plant by allowing the light from the sun to all parts of these trees. Having larger leaves above, will block sunlight to reach the lower part of the tree. Hope this answers the question. Have a nice day.
