The outside of the virus is made up of a protein shell called capsid. A Capsid constitutes of different proteins arranged to let the virus enter and take control on a host cell. The genetic material of the virus is also enclosed by the capsid. Capsid itself is composed of many oligomeric structural subunits which is comprised of protomer proteins which on the other hand is also made up of individual units called capsomeres.
