    The most common symptoms of Zika are fever, rash, joint pain, red eyes, muscle pain, headache, pain behind the eyes, and vomiting. Also pregnant women may give birth to a child with microcephaly, a smaller head than usual, causing brain damage.

    There really are no short term affects of the zika virus, if a woman who is pregnant has it the outcome of it is that their baby is born with an abnormal head
