Wind turbines are being used more and more to generate electricity. In fields of hundreds of turbines, the turbines spin as wind pushes them, and the spinning motion is converted into electrical energy that can be sent to homes and businesses. However, not all of the kinetic energy of a spinning turbine gets converted into electrical energy.

Wind turbines are inefficient for multiple reasons:

    1) They depend on the wind in order to spine

    2) they must spin 15 meters per second in order to produce the most energy possible which the conversion rate is around 50%

    3) They are really expensive and are unreliable in some areas.
