What would most likely happen if capillaries had thick walls and large diameters?

    If capillaries had thick walls and large diameters, it would be much harder for diffusion to occur. Capillaries are usually thin so that it is easy for gases, nutrients, and wastes to diffuse in and out of the blood. If they were thicker, this diffusion would be much more difficult.
